J. M. Wickramarachchi to commence German standard courses in Optometry Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.)
J.M. Wickramarachchi & Company will work with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) to provide a comprehensive and practice-oriented training course on Optometrist (NVQ Level 3) and Optometrist (NVQ Level 5). The first batch of 30 students from various parts of the country including Northern and Eastern Provinces will commence their training in the coming months.
In Sri Lanka, traditional optometry is heavily focused on theory and requires the implementation of more practical components and practices similar to the German dual system. East African businesses adopt new technologies to enhance service delivery

Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) in the East African region are embracing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software technologies. This move is in a bid to improve service provision to businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This follows a two-day training by the East African Business Council (EABC) in partnership with GIZ- Business Scouts for Development and the Federation of German Industries (BDI), on using a CRM software set to improve the capacity of BMOs in processing data and communicating effectively with members of the business community.
