Thousands of people living in two Stoke-on-Trent council wards are being urged to get a coronavirus test.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has named the wards of Etruria and Hanley and Moorcroft as areas with high levels of community transmission.

Residents in two areas of Stoke-on-Trent are being asked to get tested for Covid-19 at least twice a week after the neighbourhoods were officially declared hotspots.
Bentilee & Ubberley and Meir Hay have been placed on a coronavirus watchlist this week as cases are failing to fall as quickly as other parts of the city.

In its heyday, the Potteries Loop Line saw almost 40 trains a day use its route.
The railway line opened in 1870, connecting Etruria via Hanley, Cobridge, Burslem, Tunstall, Pittshill, Newchapel and Goldenhill to Kidsgrove Liverpool Road witha junction with the Manchester line.
By 1910, Hanley was the largest of the Six Towns, and the route was known for its severe gradients and sharp turns around the area - as well as in Tunstall and Burslem.

Some Stoke-on-Trent home buyers are having to borrow more than eight times their average salary in order to buy a house in the city.
An investigation from StokeonTrentLive found that home buyers in Newstead and Blurton South are having to borrow 7.9 times the areas average income in order to get onto the property ladder.
