RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Middle Tennessee Electric is moving a substation in Williamson County to Rutherford County. That was Amy Byers, Public Relations Coordinator for MTE. Original plans to move the substation equipment on Tuesday had to be scrubbed when they realized the transport vehicle would sink into the soft gravel covered terrain. To prevent sinking on Thursday, contractors placed steel plates on top of the gravel to move it across the landscape.
