State grants money for Burns, Crest auditoriums

Auditoriums at Burns and Crest high schools will be built thanks at $20 million in state and county money. Every year, the state s Needs-Based Public School Capital Fund gives grants to schools and districts across North Carolina. This year the fund is providing $15 million for new auditoriums at Crest and Burns High Schools in Cleveland County. Cleveland County Schools will add $5 million in local money to the projects. Cleveland County Schools is extremely excited to learn we have been awarded the Needs-Based School Capital funds for the auditorium projects at Burns High School and Crest High School, said Stephen Fisher, Cleveland County Schools superintendent, in a press release.
