SNOW has caused significant disruption across the county overnight. Cars were stopped in their tracks on Bull Hill and Pickup Bank in Edgworth and Broadhead and head to be helped back on the road by council vehicles. However gritters also ran into problems. A Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council spokesperson said: Crazy Scenes for April 11! We had our fair share of issues last night for our planned gritting operations. Two of our gritters broke down, even they was shocked at what they was seeing! This caused some temporary issues at Bull Hill and Pickup Bank, Edgworth and Broadhead whilst we got the vehicles back on the road, however the teams have worked through the night to get these roads cleared.
