As Maryland has lifted restrictions and Delaware prepares to do the same later this month live entertainment is making a comeback at area beaches.
In Ocean City, the four-day Springfest event at the Inlet is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, May 6-9. While the traditional series of concerts by national entertainers under the big tent has been scuttled this year, there will still be music galore outside in the parking lot courtesy of local favorites.
Springfest will showcase the music of about 30 performers over the course of the four days, with music running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Local legends Teenage Rust & the Rustettes, the house band at the former B.J.’s On the Water, will close out the Friday portion at 7 p.m. Another highlight will be the original music of the bluesy duo Rivers & Rhodes, kicking things off bright and early at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Tucker Carlson Proposes Burning Mask Festival After Burning Man Cancelled

Tucker Carlson proposed organizing a Burning Mask festival on Wednesday after learning that this year s Burning Man festival had been cancelled amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021 edition of the festival located in the Nevada desert was cancelled for the second year in a row over public health concerns on Tuesday. Carlson reported the news one day later on his Fox News opinion show
Tucker Carlson Tonight, saying organizers were too afraid of COVID and making the tongue-in-cheek suggestion of an alternate anti-mask festival.
Carlson said the cancellation of Burning Man was obviously bad news if you enjoy body painting and interpretive dance on acid. He said that the absence of the festival presented an opportunity for a new entry on this summer s roster of nude festivals.
