The thugs made off with hundreds of pounds in cash after the terrifying raid.  The Hamilton woman, 75, was left extremely shaken and upset said her granddaughter Abigail McGillivray on social media.  She added that the conmen told her grandmother they had to check on her water because of a contamination threat.  One locked her in the bathroom of her Burnblea Gardens home while the other raided her drawers and purse, pilfering £580 in total.  One was in his late 40s, with light brown hair, of a medium build and was wearing a navy body warmer, the other was slim and wearing a skip cap.
