Rubiano, in a Facebook post, announced that the city recorded less than 300 active cases of COVID-19.
She said the implementation of the localized lockdown and the city government’s prevent-detect-isolate-treat and reintegrate (PDITR) were effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Rubiano appealed to residents for their continued cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 by staying home and by observing the minimum health protocols.
She said that as of April 29, the City Health Office recorded only 290 active cases with 41 new cases.
She added that bed vacancies at the city’s four quarantine facilities are increasing which is proof that the virus spread in the city is being contained.

Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano said on Monday that Pasay City recorded zero admission of COVID-19 patients in two isolation facilities in the city.
Rubiano said that based on records on April 26, the Pasay City Sports Complex with 59 beds and Burgos Elementary School with a 54-bed capacity, both recorded zero admission and only four patients confined.
She said the two other quarantine facilities in the city Folk Arts Theater has 26 bed vacancies and 49 patients confined and 11 already for discharge; and Mall of Asia, the city’s largest isolation facility, has 17 bed vacancies with 92 patients still confined, 17 admitted, and six for discharge.

More vacant beds have been observed in isolation facilities for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients in Pasay City as cases continue to decline.
Based on figures provided by the city’s Public Information Office, more beds are available in Pasay City’s four isolation facilities, namely the Padre Burgos Elementary School, Pasay City Sports Complex, Folks Arts Theater, and the Mall of Asia
In Padre Burgos Elementary School and the Sports Complex, there are currently no patients admitted, while there are 10 in MOA and five in the Folk Arts Theater.
Padre Burgos Elementary School currently has 53 vacancies, Sports Complex has 53, Folk Arts Theater has 23, and MOA with 32.

The Pasay City government reported that its four quarantine facilities now have more bed vacancies indicating that the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city has been minimized.
In a report to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, the City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (CDRRMO) said Pasay City Sports Complex with 60 bed capacity now has 45 bed vacancies and only 15 individuals are currently confined and are recovering from the disease.
Rubiano said Burgos Elementary School with 44 beds now has 30 vacant beds and three patients were discharged on April 18 and two more on April 19.
She said the city’s biggest quarantine facility the Mall of Asia has 132 beds with 87 COVID-19 patients currently confined and 22 beds that are vacant.

The Pasay City government is planning to set up two additional quarantine facilities with 100 beds each.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, in an interview with ANC’s Market Edge, said the city has four quarantine facilities located at the Pasay City Sports Complex with 60 beds, Burgos Elementary School with 44, SM Mall of Asia with 132, and Folk Arts Theater with 97.
Rubiano said that at the peak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections that reached more than 1,000, the city government sought the assistance of Oplan Kalinga in transporting COVID-19 patients to as far as Batangas.
Based on the latest report, the city’s four quarantine facilities now have vacancies, which local authorities said is a sign that the city is “slowly winning the battle against COVID-19.”
