Salisbury Daily Times OCEAN CITY, Md.   Abbey Burger Bistro in Ocean City announced Wednesday that the restaurant will close permanently because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  According to a Facebook post from the restaurant, the business doesn t plan to reopen this spring after eight years in Ocean City.  OC Abbey Burger could not withstand the struggles of a quarantine required for the COVID-19 pandemic, the disproportionate impact on the seasonal resort town sector of the food industry and the overall downturn in the economy, the last of which may reverberate for years, according to the Facebook post.  The management of Abbey Burger Bistro thanked its employees and encouraged patrons to visit the restaurant s affiliated establishments in the Baltimore area, according to the Facebook post.
