Clutch wrote to FOX19, “We can’t thank everyone enough for supporting us, and we are truly amazed at everyone’s generosity! UC we see you, Xaiver, your turn!” The Crosstown ‘Tip Off’ Challenge took another huge jump Friday after two tippers left more than $4,600 in total at different local restaurants.

McMurphy’s Irish Pub staff members on a $39.89 bill. The tipper wrote, “Guys. Your staff is awesome! JEB rules! Go UC! Go big or go home!” R.P. McMurphy’s said this was an extra special tip because it honored Tri-State restaurant owner Jeremy Bowman, who passed away at the end of 2020 from COVID-19.

The challenge started at Zip’s Cafe in Mt. Lookout on Jan. 9th when they shared on Facebook a napkin that thanked their hard-working staff with a $1,000 tip, ending the note with “Go Xavier.” Sunday, they were struck again. This time with a tipper in favor of UC. The anonymous donor signing the biggest check yet with a $1,250 tip writing “UC to the MOON! GO CATS.”
