NHS data shows 80,411 people had received a vaccine jab by April 18. This equals 65 per cent of those aged 16 and over, according to the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics. Of those vaccinated, 60,057 were aged 50 and over – 96 per cent of the age group. It means 20,354 people aged between 16 to 49 have received a first dose of the vaccine. FIGURES have revealed which area of the district has the highest coverage of Covid vaccines.  NHS data shows that a total of 78,925 people have received their jab in the district equating to 64 per cent of those aged 16 and over. The latest avilable data only takes into consideration jabs given out up until April 11. The area with the highest coverage continues to be Bures Hamlet, Maplestead and Belchamp, with 70.8 per cent of people aged 16 and over given their first dose.
