DOT Regional Director Karina Rosa Tiopes bared this on Thursday following the launch of motorcycle tourism in Leyte province last week. "We are looking at the possibility that we will introduce the motorcycle route towards the north and south. Those places are our connection to Luzon and Mindanao," Tiopes said in an interview. DOT Regional Director Karina Rosa Tiopes said on Wednesday the June 18 launch will introduce the first Eastern Visayas Infinite Road Trip route: the Leyte World War II Motorcycle Trail. Of the 22 VCMs, six were deployed in Tacloban City; four in Ormoc City; two each in Jaro, Dagami, and Carigara; and one each in Sta. Fe, Kananga, Burauen, Bato, Barugo, and Albuera towns, all in Leyte province. "This is better since during the final testing and sealing, there were 31 VCMs and six SD cards that malfunctioned.
