City of Kyle seeks volunteers for Great Texas River Cleanup on March 6 Austin American-Statesman Volunteers sought for River Cleanup The city of Kyle is seeking volunteers for the 36th annual Great Texas River Cleanup  from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 6. Due to COVID-19, the city will make changes to the cleanup. To keep all volunteers safe, organizers decided to forgo a headquarters meetup to distribute breakfast tacos and supplies and opted to thank volunteers with a pizza voucher to use at their own convenience. Volunteer groups made up of 10 or fewer can choose which area they would like to clean up upon signup areas will be rated by difficulty and instead of checking-in at a headquarters the morning of the cleanup, volunteers will meet with their designated group at their selected site.
