Bundaberg locals to face court over shocking road rage video

Thousands of RBTs, many infringements issued at weekend

Bundaberg police have revealed 157 infringements were issued to drivers across the region over the Easter long weekend. Officer in charge of the Bundaberg Road Policing Unit Sergeant Marty Arnold said multiple disappointing incidents occurred on the region s roads this weekend, but overall the majority of drivers were well behaved. Two drivers (were) issued infringements for travelling 40km/h over the speed limit on a wet road (and there were) nine drink drivers - two of which were over five times the legal limit, he said. Across the Wide Bay Burnett 157 infringements were issued and 2845 random breath tests conducted. But with more than 150 infringements issued over the weekend, it s clear the important message continues to go unheard for some.

Police appeal to find stolen road work signs

Premium Content Bundaberg police are investigating the theft of road work signs from Bundaberg East. Over the past month on five separate occasions, roadwork signage has been stolen from the intersection near Telegraph Rd and Scotland St. Police are appealing for assistance to identify a person seen at 3.30am on March 12, wearing high visibility clothing loading some of the signs into the rear of the dual cab ute on Que Hee St (pictured). Police investigating man s death after Bundy crash

Premium Content Subscriber only The circumstances of a 55-year-old man s death are under investigation after a two-vehicle crash and possible medical incident on Tuesday night. Bundaberg Patrol Group Acting Inspector Michael Bishop said at about 9.50pm on Tuesday emergency services were called to a crash on the Bundaberg Ring Road, near the intersection of Elliott Heads Rd. Act Insp Bishop said the circumstances around the incident were still under investigation, however initial inquiries appear to indicate one vehicle has run into the back of the other vehicle. Shortly thereafter the driver of the first vehicle, that has collided with the rear of the secondary vehicle, has upon exiting his vehicle, shortly thereafter has died from a possible medical episode, he said.
