When “Yards, Barns and Brews” was introduced in 2019, it was embraced.
The COVID-19 pandemic put the brakes on a follow-up in 2020, but officials with St. Joseph County United Way have regrouped for 2021’s event, set for 2-8 p.m. May 7 and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. May 8 at the St. Joseph County fairgrounds.
Kelly Hostetler, executive director at the agency, said there is plenty happening both days.
Day one features tree sales from St. Joseph County Conservation Club, arts and crafts, and three commercial barns will be open for commercial vendors. There also will be food vendors, local brews and live music. Barn 45 will host the adult beverages. Drinks from Kelsey Block Brewing Co., Corey Lake Orchards and St. Julian Winery will be offered. The Irrelevant Reverends will perform 5:30-7 p.m., followed by Sweet Jonny Knox at 7 p.m.
