Bukky Soleye is the founder of Bug Zappers Limited, a professional pest control services company. Her company was borne out of the need to instill professionalism into the pest control industry in Nigeria. The business, which has been in existence since 2009, came at a time when most technicians applying pesticides lacked formal training in pest control and often abused the administration of pesticides, constituting risk to human health and the environment. Soleye started her career at Arthur Andersen and subsequently worked with T.Rowe Price, a Fortune 500 company, and Constellation Energy, both in Maryland USA, She is certified by the Ontario Pesticide and Training Certification Programme in Ontario, Canada and also qualified as a pest management professional with two specialist certifications in Structural Pest Control and Fumigation.
