Or if I m going to be very, very, very brave (and eat indoors), I d go to a place that has a very large indoor space, that has a good ventilation, has good airflow and where the patrons are practicing the COVID-protective behaviors of masking, good hand hygiene, and physical distancing.
Dube said he wouldn t visit an establishment if its patrons or employees were not following these protective behaviors.
Brazilian COVID-19 variant found in Douglas County
Someone traveled to South America for business and inadvertently brought the Brazilian variant back with them, public health says.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Brazilian variant of COVID-19 is officially in Douglas County. It s also known as the P-1 variant.
Public health officials said they started an investigation in January after a person tested positive for COVID-19 after traveling. They learned that the person traveled to South America for business and brought the variant back with them. They sent a test swab to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and received confirmation on Monday.

Dube said they cannot release more details about the baby s death because of HIPPA laws, but confirms the infant did have underlying conditions.
Dr. Anne Vestergaard, a Portland pediatrician said underlying conditions put babies at risk for many illnesses, including influenza and RSV.
