allow the river to go back to building wetlands the way that it would have done. to the natural sediment and creation. exactly. what about the wildlife? we see the brown pelicans, the blue herron, the cranes. it s heartbreaking to see the birds. what we re not seeing is what s happening in the ocean, the depth of the ocean. ha s exactly right. that s right. we won t know the impacts of all of this oil being spread out for many years, for several years. how many fish come back, how their food sources go away or don t go away, how many birds are actually dying, you have to remember the numbers of birds you see are only the ones we re able to collect, that were sick enough not to be able to fly or didn t sink covered with oil. the impact of this is going to be huge and we re going to be studying it for some time. and the human impact, one of the nation s largest producers ever oysters is shutting, it
