The Grantwood Board of Trustees sorted out two conflicting ordinances regarding handbilling at its meeting July 20.
Chairman Kevin Kelso, Village Attorney Michael Vogt and Building Commissioner Kurt Voss discovered the conflicting ordinances after the board’s last meeting in June.
Vogt said the two bills were very different, where one permitted handbilling with no questions asked while the other was stricter, requiring people to need a pass.
The board voted unanimously to repeal the less strict of the two. Religious and political publishings are unaffected and allowed unquestionably.
