Metrolinx is making progress on supporting business and communities that will be impacted by construction of the Ontario Line subway but needs to do more to satisfy the city, Toronto councillors say.
An interim injunction preventing Metrolinx from chopping down a group of mature tress from the grounds of Osgoode Hall will expire at midnight and will not be extended, a judge has ruled.
A spokesperson for the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) says Metrolinx began cutting down historic trees at Osgoode Hall in Toronto on Saturday before the Ontario Superior Court could hear an injunction to prevent their clearing.
