SHANGHAI: 1 Sept. 2022 – Overall new-vehicle quality in China averages 213 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), which is 2.8 PP100 more than 2021, according to the J.D. Power 2022 China Initial Quality Study SM (IQS), released today.
The study, now in its 20th year, examines new-vehicle owners’ assessments of their experience with their vehicle within the first two to six months of ownership. The resulting data is used extensively by manufacturers to help them design and develop more appealing models.
