In the film they covered africanamerican military service in this country from the 1770s to world war ii. There was no mention, no image of a single soldier or sailor. 10 of the union army. African made of 1 of the northern population. Highest awarded but not a single mention. Why . The story was indeed a lost story. There was active suppression of the story. When we talk about who suppress the story he will hear it was the lost cause. Theres a southern Propaganda Campaign but sought to make it appear that the war was not fought over slavery and a part of it was suppressing the africanamerican story.
