Fire crews in La Crosse were able to contain a garage fire without causing damage to other buildings. The cause was determined to be cooking-related, and there were no injuries. The fire occurred one day before the city re-imposed a burning ban, which prohibits open burning and the use of charcoal grills and recreational fire pits.
