Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center public relations and marketing director Allison Gergley gave the Salida Hospital Board a presentation on the HRRMC website, including user statistics for the site.
Using the website analytics, Gergley told the board during 2020, which she categorized as a unique year due to COVID-19, there were 152,000 individual visitors to the site with a total of 426,000 page views.
Page views are based on the number of pages visited by a user.
Comparing August 2020 to August 2019, for example, the number of individual site visits was up 37,000 and the number of pages viewed was up 30,000 in 2020.
Gergley said there were three significant ramp ups in the number of visitors to the HRRMC website in 2020, including near the beginning of the pandemic in March, during Julyâs second wave and toward the end of the year into the new years as vaccinations were rolled out.
John Albert Daugherty of Salida passed away March 4.
He was born March 5, 1974, in Lawton, Okla., to James and Linda (Cox) Daugherty.
Daugherty moved to the area 6 years ago from Lawton and was employed by the Buena Vista Health Clinic as a nurse practitioner.
He has been in nursing since 1994 and a nurse practitioner since 2011.
Being a nurse practitioner was his passion and he loved taking care of his patients and they all felt his love and caring.
His family said that his family and nursing were the best parts of his life.
Daugherty enjoyed hiking, being in the outdoors, going for walks with his puppy Loki, graphic novels and watching movies with his family.
John Albert Daugherty, 46, a nurse practitioner at the Buena Vista Health Clinic, died Thursday morning, March 4, on his way to work from Salida in a head-on collision with a Colorado Department of Transportation snowplow.
âWe are completely saddened and mourning our co-worker and friend John Daugherty,â said Thomas White, the medical director at the Buena Vista Health Clinic. âJohn was a compassionate healer who cared deeply for his patients and colleagues.â
Daugherty joined the staff at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, of which the BV clinic is a part, in November 2014 and âhad an ease in connecting with diverse people and patients on all levels,â said HRRMC spokeswoman Allison Gergley
