At a special-called meeting on Monday, Laredo City Council voted to give all city employees a 3% cost of living adjustment to their salaries, an expense made possible by the millions of dollars on its way to the city from Congress’ last stimulus bill.
They also voted for city management to study and develop improvements to their wage and pay scale, which Human Resources Director Melina Bermudez said is out of date by about five to eight years.
