who is puzzled that being the appropriations chair isn t considered the fantastic credential. now they have to rebrand themselves as the guy as the chair and budget cutter at the same time and has shown how quickly the winds have shifted. he is sort of stacking the deck. is this, in fact, tea party outside group spending that we are seeing? these are not swing states. thee are republican states where the outcome is predetermined. does it seem rational? do people in the donor world think that is rational? this seat will probably be a gop seat no matter who wins the primary. it is a good lean for them. it is also the place where the tea party groups and other conservative groups can really make their mark. their goal is not to win a general election but to reshape the gop and shift its own
rather take the milk money and run. cue paul ryan. a man who ran as a budget cutter, largely on the backs of the poor and the man who only a week ago was complain is that the farm bill did not include enough cuts to food stamps. yesterday this same paul ryan insisted his primary focus is on wait for it addressing poverty. look, i m a conservative that believes our founding principles are the key principles for the day. this is why i m focused on poverty these days. i think there are better ideas that we can use to approach and attack the root causes of poverty. joining us now from capitol hill is chair woman of the senate agriculture committee and author of the senate tafarm bil democratic senator debbie stabenow. good to be with you. we are waiting for the president to speak and if he comes along, we ll have to stop
you run something and how do you run it effectively? so how will he run this country effectively? what information you have he would say there is a management style to the office. like, one, bringing in people who just aren t in politics, aren t just in washington. two, running it with some efficiency. he would say i want truly to have metrics. i ll give you a checklist. he ll say most politicians make promises. i m saying i m going to physically give you a card and score me for the first hundred days think about if you score most people in their first hundred days, they almost always fail to push everything they promise to push. it s not that he doesn t have a theory of the case. we re not used to it. most people have a political theory of the kashs not a management he s promised to be a budget cutter and he s not giving you any details.
