DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 12, 2021 – The LPGA Foundation, whose mission is to empower, inspire and transform the lives of girls and young women through the game of golf, announced today a three-event LPGA Leadership Academy schedule for 2021.
The schedule will cover the breadth of the United States with two-day academies taking place in Michigan, California and New Jersey. Each LPGA Leadership Academy will host 40 girls aged 13-18. The 2021 LPGA Leadership Academy schedule is fully funded by donations from our sponsors, enabling us to offer each two-day academy at no cost to those selected to participate, said Nancy Henderson, president of the LPGA Foundation. We are committed to empowering, inspiring and transforming the lives of girls and young women through the game of golf, and we are very excited about the impact that the LPGA Leadership Academy has already had on those who have participated in the program.

Ralph ‘Bud’ Fisher passed away on Sunday at 92 years old.
Bud and his brothers took over and grew the family business, Fisher Sand and Gravel before founding Central Concrete Products in 1955.
Bud and his brothers also opened Bucks Run Golf Club in 2000, which grew into one of the most popular golfing destinations in the area.
He was also honored for his work by the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“He was a great community leader, the Mt. Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau honored him in 2009 with the Mt. Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau tourism award, and that’s given to someone who’s made an impact on tourism in Isabella County, and certainly one of his greatest is Bucks Run Golf Club,” said Chris Rowley, Executive Director of the Mt.
