Emergency services dealing with collision in Douglas
Mon, 17 May 2021 The collision has happened at the traffic light junction of Bucks Road and Circular Road. The road from Westmoreland Road junction to Bucks Road junction is closed entirely. Traffic is only able to move through this junction if heading from Bucks Road towards Prospect Hill. Traffic driving up Prospect Hill cannot move through the junction, please divert. Police are on scene assisting with traffic management.

DHSC chief executive to give evidence to PAC Committee looking at response to Covid pandemic
The chief executive of the Department of Health and Social Care has been called to give evidence to an inquiry into the Isle of Man’s response to the pandemic.
Kathryn Magson will appear before the Public Accounts Committee at 2.30pm on 12 May.
The session is being held as part of an inquiry into the use of genomic sequencing.
Health Minister David Ashford will also give evidence.
Members of the public can attend the sitting at the Legislative Council Chamber on Bucks Road in Douglas or listen via the Tynwald website.
Delivery driver accused of indecently assaulting customer Thirty-nine-year-old pleads not guilty to 2:30am assault
A Douglas fast-food delivery driver has appeared in court, accused of indecently assaulting a woman customer during a drop-off.
Thirty-nine-year-old Hasan Gogebakan of Christian Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He pleaded not guilty to a single charge of indecent assault in Kerrocoar Close in Onchan on 10 October.
Prosecution advocate James Robinson told the hearing a woman ordered food from Flaming Great Kebabs on Bucks Road in Douglas, and Gogebakan delivered it to her door at around 2:30am.
Mr Robinson told the court as the woman paid him, Mr Gogebakan brushed his hand against her groin – before doing it again as he shook her hand.
Bucks Road closed after bus involved in collision
