LEWISBURG – A New Jersey man who had been accused of raping a female in a Bucknell University fraternity house more than a decade ago has pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
Joseph John McClain III, 36, of Milburn, New Jersey, on Tuesday entered pleas in Union County court to charges of simple assault and indecent exposure.
Charges of rape, sexual assault and aggravated indecent sexual assault are to be dismissed at sentencing.
However, District Attorney D. Peter Johnson has reserved the right to reinstate those counts if Judge Michael T. Hudock rejects the plea agreement.
