Vegetable farming exceeds target in Rangpur region

RANGPUR: Farmers have exceeded the fixed farming target for winter vegetables by 2.65 percent in Rangpur agricultural region where its harvest continues with excellent yield rate now making them happy.
Officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) said a super bumper production of winter vegetables is likely in all five districts of Rangpur agriculture region during the current Rabi season, reports BSS.
“Plenty of all varieties of winter vegetables have appeared in local markets with lucrative prices for farmers,” Deputy Director of the DAE at its regional office Agriculturalist Md Moniruzzaman said.
