Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today chair a crucial meeting on the holding of Class 12 board examinations for 2021 amid the Covid pandemic. He will be briefed on all possible options following extensive discussions with all stakeholders, government sources have said. This comes two days ahead of a Supreme Court hearing on the matter, during which the Centre is expected to file its reply on a plea seeking the cancellation of the exams.
Following the Centre s decision to hold the Class 12 board exams, some states went ahead and announced either the exam pattern or their tentative dates, while others, including Delhi, Punjab, and Jharkhand, voiced dissent.
