DIMAPUR The government of Nagaland and Manipal University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of paramedical professionals in the state for quality healthcare delivery. The MoU was signed between the department of Health and Family Welfare (DHFW) and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Nagaland and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka on Thursday, facilitated by Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN). The objective of signing the MoU is to facilitate the development of collaborative and mutually beneficial programmes which serve to enhance the intellectual life and cultural development of the public and persons with disabilities, an update from DIPR stated. With the signing of the MoU, more premiere educational institutions are expected to follow the lead of MAHE to sign agreements with the government of Nagaland for extending academic opportunities and capacity building of students from Nagaland, it said.
