Happened at a home at the intersection of levcik and farnsworth street. This is not the first time weve covered an accident at this very home in recent weeks. Two people were hurt after this tractortrailer crashed into the same house. Neighbors toll us at the time there was a traffic problem in the area. We have in just in as well. Lawmakers in harrisburg have passed a bill allowing philadelphia to slap a 2 a pack tax on cigarettes. That money would provide crucial funding for the cashstrapped Philadelphia School district. The bill still has to pass in the senate, then go to the governor for his signature. The cigarette tax would give philly schools a muchneeded infusion of cash, the district has a huge hole in its 2. 6 billion budget. The superintendent says the tax should generate anywhere from 42 to 69 million.

Good evening from washington where an embarrassed secret service has yet to fully explain how an intruder made his way from the street on to the white house grounds and through the front door of the most protected home in this country. It happened around 7 00 last evening. The mans sprint across the north lawn forced a rare evacuation of the white house and sent secret Service Agents and officers springing into action with guns drawn. The first family was not home at the time. Still the fact the intruder made it past the doorstep has put the agency in charge of their protection under harsh scrutiny.
