Huskies Prepare for State Semifinal Game Against Cashion
Ty Loftis Pawhuska defeated Mooreland 44-6 to stay undefeated on the season and advance to the Class A state semifinals where they will face Cashion this Friday. The Bearcats play a unique flex-bone offense and coach Matt Hennesy said he was impressed by the way his defense played throughout the night, as they didn’t give up a single touchdown. The offense committed three turnovers, as Bryce Drummond threw two interceptions and lost a fumble as well. Hennesy said aside from those mistakes, the group played flawless. The OSSAA made the decision that they felt it would be best for one of the two teams to host the Class A state semifinal game in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and the winner of a coin toss would get to be the host site.
