LAHAINA Jazz Maui presents the second annual Jazz Blues and Beyond Benefit Concert, featuring distinguished jazz professionals, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, at the new Bozich Center, Graham Theater on the campus of Maui Preparatory Academy in Napili. The star-studded lineup features internationally-renowned bassist and vocalist Katie Thiroux, Quincy Jones protégé pianist Justin Kauflin, drummer Matt Witek, The Phil Smith Quartet, Paul Marchetti, Jake Thomas, and Tanama Colibri, along with other special guests.

Ron Metoyer, a guitarist and vocalist from Oakland, Calif., who moved to Maui in 1983, will be one of several performers during âA Musical Tribute to Black History Monthâ on Saturday at The Empanada Lady Maui in Wailuku.

Jazz Maui will hold “A Musical Tribute to Black History Month” on Saturday to celebrate classic African American-inspired music and benefit music education programs.
The dinner shows at The Empanada Lady Maui in Wailuku will feature accomplished Maui musicians and poetry by Bryant Neal and Ayin Adams, according to a news release.
Performers will include pianist and vocalist Sal Godinez, guitarist and vocalist Ron Metoyer, drummer Jesse Smith, bass player Jay Molina, contemporary jazz and soul vocalist Sarah Black, professional guitarist and music educator Prem Brosio and singer, songwriter, author and poet Tanama Colibri.
