Mason Tucker to finish up at KIIS at the end of the year
KIIS 101.1’s Workday announcer, Mason Tucker, has not had his contract renewed by Australian Radio Network (ARN).
Radio Today then contacted ARN to find out what this meant for Tucker, who has been with KIIS since April, 2019.
“Mason’s contract with ARN has ended. He will continue to be on air until December 30,” an ARN spokesperson said in response.
Tucker told
Radio Today his next move is not yet clear, but he’ll be working hard to keep himself in the industry.
Prior to his time with ARN, Tucker was a Morning announcer and Breakfast producer at Hobart’s Hit100.9.

With KIIS workdays in the 3s and 4s they had to change something. Looks like they’re going with personality and content to fix the problems. Will be interesting to see if it works.

Ryan will be fantastic but at the same time it’s a shame to see Mason get the flick.
Former Hit Perth breakfast host Ryan Jon joins Kiis 101.1 Melbourne

Australian Radio Network (ARN) has secured the services for a former Southern Cross Austereo radio host Ryan Jon for a new Kiis 101.1 Melbourne workdays program.
Jon, who departed his role as host of Hit92.9 breakfast for family reasons in July of 2019, will remain on-air for ARN in Melbourne after his current stint on Kiis 101.1 summer breakfast wraps up.
Jon has been hosting summer breakfast with Lauren Phillips, and said he’s excited to be a full-time part of the team and return to his home city of Melbourne.
“I’ve really enjoyed being here at KIIS doing summer breakfast so to be asked to join the on air team and continue the fun into 2021 is really a dream come true,” he said.
