Des moines firefighters are working to put out a fire at a motel. Police say crews were called to the cozy rest motel off southeast 14th street just after 730. Firefighters told police the motel was at one point fully engulfed in flames but crews were able to control the fire. Police have blocked off part of southeast 14th street at this time. Police say no injuries have been reported. Funeral services will be held today for the couple killed this week in des moines. Heather belieu and her fiance, bryon howard, were found shot to death inside a home on Center Street monday. Both funerals will take place at hamiltons funeral home, near highland memory gardens.
