Many area students have recently earned college and graduate degrees plus academic honors from campuses across the United States. Below are students from the Poway and Rancho Bernardo area those whose schools have announced their achievements.
Steve Johnson of Poway was among the more than 300 graduates recognized during the virtual commencement ceremony at the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences in December. Johnson received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree. The campus is in Lexington, Kentucky.
Morgan Turpin of the Rancho Bernardo area qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality GPA of 3.5, with no grade below a C. Approximately 55 percent of Belmont’s students qualified for the honor. The campus is in Nashville, Tennessee.
