Justin T. Mariani, 31, of Springport, was charged with two counts of third-degree rape, deputies said.
Deputies said Mariani knew both victims, but the attacks were unrelated. The attacks happened in different locations and on different days, deputies said.
Deputies on Wednesday began investigating allegations that Mariani had non-consensual sex in April with the 17-year-old girl in Brutus, according to a news release issued by the sheriff’s office. The teenager is from Auburn, deputies said.
The 22-year-old Auburn woman was attacked at an earlier date in April, but at a location in Auburn, deputies said.
