and there are other nations where we haved are negotiations in years past. i hav a problem with sitting down at the table with a foreign dictator and just unilaterally making all sorts of concessions. well and not getting the ruts we re looking the context of a negotiation. let me ask you this though. i tend to think that talking is better than war. i thinkt s good they met. that s my own perl editorial position on this. but you would agree it s a crazy thing to say that kim jong-un loves his people which is what the president said toda yeah, there s a there s a relationship that goes on between kim jong-un and his people that is is certainly unique. what s interesting so kim jong. congressman, that is a. let me get the point out. so kim jong-un oh preys his people. they re living in poverty. you know imprisonment. the prosperity doesn t get to
president trump, while he remains very popular, is not on the ballot. that could very well drive a lot of republicans to sit on their hand and stay home. now, i will say that one dynamic that i ve picked up here in california is an enthusiasm on the republican side. not necessarily for president trump but in opposition to democrats. there s a real sense that democrats, especially in this state, this hoed of the resistance, have gone too far, have kind of lost their minds almost in opposi t that s provided a little bit of energy on their side. i don t know that it s enough, frankly, to get some of these candidates over the top, but that should prove to be an interesting dynamic as the ruts come in tonight. lahnee, there you are in washington, a kind of traditional conservative from california. i imagine trying to feel good about the two slot in the

the world. this new plan that came out that they re going to try to do something with, i don t know, nancy pelosi and chuck schumer want to increase corporate tax ruts. they just decreased them. they given that money in bonuses what are they going to do if they change it? the market would have a terrible reaction if they change anything with that. remember, maybe the tax plan has some tweaking to do. we don t know. it s not the big things. remember this, we haven t gone a full tax season. no individual has filed, no corporation has filed yet. you have to give it at least a year. trish: i know. takes a little time. it has to work its way through the economy and as dan and steve forbes say, higher taxes bad, lower taxes good. the lesson of the day. you want you teen working out of the house? take the phone out of their hands. might work. more next.
we live in a time when on a basic level, politics is broken. in growing numbers, people have lost faith in the political process. and on whether it can help the threatened economic circumstances. the political debate has settled into two familiar ruts. that was 22 years ago. anyway, of course, bradley did not say the leader of his own party was a danger to democracy as jeff flake did but there were some sim sarts like leaving the door open for a future in political life. i am not leaving public life. and therefore, i will continue to be a part of this dialogue. i ll expand my efforts to try to engage the american people and the political process in trying to think through where we re headed as a country. we have some big problems out there that the political process just isn t addressing.
