Supported by the Brussels Airlines Foundation a group of cyclists will bike from Belgium come to Uganda between January 29 and February 5 to raise funds for children’s projects in the country. They plan to cover a distance of about 450 kilometers from the source of the Nile in Jinja to Murchison’s Falls National Park.
Local and international sponsors have committed themselves through various measures to make this first visit of “Bike for Africa” to the Pearl of Africa a success. In Uganda, Marasa Africa, through their Chobe and Paraa lodges, are on board, as are Deloitte and Africa Cargo Services, while back in Belgium, Brussels Airport is one of the big names on the sponsors list.
