their sister investigation over in the senate, which is bipartisan so far. and it is pretty extraordinary, they didn t even inform and consult with the democratic minority in the house intelligence committee, let them know this was coming up. right. they had a dry run for this with the dossier memo controversy a few weeks ago. republicans on the house committee literally found there was no major penalty for pushing ahead without reaching consensus with their democratic counter parts on a committee that normally the intelligence committee is seen to be less partisan than other committees. wolf, i think that among other things i agree with everything everybody else said, this is a rush job, right? president trump has been in office 13, 14 months, special counsel mueller has only been on the jobless than a year, only appointed last may, and they re trying to gallup to conclusion where there s still a lot of questions. i would go further than russia, i say whitewash. the fact they ma

wild over this. i think even beyond my expectations, so far beyond my expectations. i ll sign this today rather than having a very big, formal ceremony in two weeks when we were going to do it because i didn t want you folks to say i wasn t keeping my promise. i am keeping my promise. i am signing it before christmas. i said that the bill would be on my desk before christmas, and you are loeldsiholding me to th. we did a rush job and it s not fancy, but it s the oval office, the great oval office. just to conclude, our country is doing very well. we ve tremendously cut regulations. legislative approvals for which i m given no credit in the mainstream media, we have i believe it s 88, which is number one in the history of our country, second now is harry truman. harry truman had more legislative approvals than any other president and a record long held and we beat him on
what s your take on the tax plan? back at home, in a district i represent in brooklyn and queens, folks are alarmed at the prospect that the republicans would jam a massive tax scam down the throats of the american people in a rush job that will result in approximately 36 million middle class americans receiving a tax increase that s going to undermine medicare. it s going to raise and explode the deficit. our children and grandchildren are being asked to shoulder approximately $1.5 trillion in additional debt simply to provide an unnecessary, unconscionable tax cut to millionaires, billionaires? special interest corporations and big donors to the republican party? it s a raw deal. the american people know they deserve a better deal. we re going to continue to focus as democrats on providing better jobs, better wages and a better future and do everything question to defeat this tax scam. congressman, thank you from new york. thank you, chris. meantime, the reverberations
joe manchin, who might ve been more susceptible to this or you would think, given his reelection is coming up in a big donald trump state, west virginia. he is still a no on this. this was more of a rush job than a thorough job. what do you say? we have been working on this for months. actually years. there s been work done in a bipartisan way in the house and senate. there has been worked to lead up to the passage of tax reform. when the republicans took the majority in the last election along with the election of donald trump, this was a top priority for us heading into 2017. providing tax relief for everyone in this country. this is a package that is pro-family, pro-economic growth. we have seen stagnant wages. a stagnant economy for way too long. i m excited about what it means for everybody. more take-home pay, more jobs, bringing jobs all from overseas, and yes, we want to get this done by christmas. neil: signed sealed and delivered by christmas.
