Daniel Scalise is returning to the Brush City Council. Scalise was the Mayor of Brush from 2010-2018 and, according to unofficial election results, received the most votes in the Ward 2 Councilor race with 122. He and David Basil defeated incumbent Scott Klinkhammer and candidate Scott Hodgson. Kids in Rush City have had some special opportunities in the county this month, according to information presented at the Rush City City Council meeting held Monday, Oct. 23.
At Monday night’s Brush City Council meeting, Lance Schwindt, Brush Community Service Director, provided updates on the Prairie Trails Park to the council. During the staff reports section of the meeting, Schwindt said a few contractors have been contacted about bidding for phase one of the project which has a Dec. 6 date for bid openings. The first phase, or 1A as Schwindt said, of the project would include getting water and sewer established, creating a few gravel parking lots and two baseball/softball fields.
