Lim Zhen Yang, 12, from the Brunei Darussalam Go Association recently participated in two international Go competitions via online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

th Kyu, won one out of three matches in the preliminary rounds of the 10
th Ilyo News Cup International Children’s Baduk Championship 2021 in South Korea, an annual event held in conjunction with Children Day of Korea on May 5. He did not qualify for the main event.
Meanwhile, Zhen Yang also competed in the 41
st World Amateur Go Championship held in Russia Vladivostok from June 4-9.
Due to the pandemic, the event was postponed from May last year to this year and the rules changed from eight rounds to six. Out of 58 participants, 34 competed online at their home nations including Zhen Yang, while the rest competed in Russia.
