A mama bear and three cubs ascended a tree in suburban Virginia, draped themselves upon its branches and took a daylong snooze as residents hunkered down to stay out of the way.
A mama black bear and three cubs clambered up a tree and napped in the middle of a Chesapeake, Virginia, neighborhood before coming down around midnight on Monday.
“This is an extremely stressful situation for the bears, so it's important to stay away from the area. That includes driving past the site,” Chesapeake Animal Services wrote on Facebook.
