With its major fundraising events cancelled by COVID-19, the Ottawa Humane Society has launched the For the Love of Animals Lottery.
Tickets $25 each or five for $100 went on sale Wednesday.

“The lottery will help provide life-saving care for the more than 8,000 animals the OHS cares for each year,” the society said in a media release.
“Our community is fantastic and always willing to support animals who desperately need their help,” president and CEO Bruce Roney added in the release.
