TOWN OF MAMAKATING – Perhaps capitalizing on the current trend of city dwellers moving upstate, a Miami developer best known for urban, luxury high-rises is reviving its 20-year-old effort to build a resort in the Town of Mamakating.
Crescent Heights recently held a pre-application online video work session with the Town of Mamakating Planning Board, unveiling a plan calling for 230 year-round, high-end homes and a 300-room resort.
The 800-acre site is located on the north side of Exit 112, along Wurtsboro Mountain Road, almost immediately off of the exit ramp and K-Line Bridge Road.
The property, which also includes parcels along Walnut Trail W, Munn Road and County Route 56, is adjacent to the Wurtsboro Hills and Mountain Lake Camps neighborhoods.
