Meadville Tribune Dec 11, 2020 As the impact of the COVID-19 virus affects more and more families in Crawford County, Peace4Crawford and Women’s Service’s Inc. are stepping up efforts to assure that families can get help when needed through its county-wide telephone “warm line.” “As this pandemic and the associated social isolation and economic challenges have stretched out over the past 10 months, people’s resilience and capacity to cope is wearing thin, said Bruce Harlan, executive director of Women’s Services. We see this in the increased number of families who are coping with domestic violence, and also families who have short-term needs for food assistance or mental health support. While Women’s Services alone cannot meet all of those needs, we can connect people to services and others who can.”
