LANAO DEL NORTE, May 10 Through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), three former rebels (FRs) received financial and livelihood assistance, and financial remuneration of surrendered firearms during a turnover ceremony held recently in Kapatagan Municipal Hall.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)–Lanao del Norte released financial benefits to the FRs for firearms remuneration worth P346,000.00, and each one received a P15,000.00 as immediate financial assistance and P50,000.00 as Livelihood Assistance.
Mayor Barry Y. Baguio hosted the ceremony and was instrumental to the surfacing of the former rebels as well as in giving locally-driven assistance to the former rebels. He emphasized that his administration s determination to support the program in order that there will be lasting peace and development in his jurisdiction.
