This continuous spring provides drinking water to millions of visitors who come to the South Rim each year, pumped through a 6-inch aluminum pipe that’s buried beneath the North Kaibab Trail.
The historic pipeline that brings drinking water from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to the South Rim fails frequently. Work will begin this fall to overhaul sections of the pipe.
